Florida Statute 943.082 states that if, following an investigation, it is determined that a person knowingly submitted a false tip through FortifyFL, the Internet protocol (IP) address of the device on which the tip was submitted will be provided to law enforcement agencies for further investigation, and the reporting party may be subject to criminal penalties under s. 837.05. In all other circumstances, unless the reporting party has chosen to disclose his or her identity, the report will remain anonymous.

HMS Clothing Drive

The Heritage Middle School Family Center is partnering with AMVETS, a national service foundation, for a campus-wide clothing collection drive.

September 3rd – 6th  Bring in gently used, unwanted clothing (of any size), shoes, purses and coats to your 1st period classroom.•Top 3, 1st period classes in 6th, 7th, 8th and Electives combined will win a pizza party for their entire class. •Top small class with 15 students or less will also win a pizza party.•Hosted by Heritage Middle School Family Center and AMVETS

Last year we collected over 6,000 items during our Clothing Drive. Our goal is 7,000 pieces this year. Parent & Family Engagement Breakfast!!!

Come join us on September 20th in the Heritage Middle School cafeteria, for a  FREE Breakfast!

Doors open at 8:45am, and the event is open to ALL HMS students, their families, and positive role models.Events include:••Special Performance by the HMS Eaglettes•Community News•Special Guest: Parker Nassar, 3-time National WAKO Kickboxing Champion.•Special Guest: Captain Todd Smith, VSO & VCS Director of Safety and Security.

ALL Visitors must sign in at the front office with a valid FL Identification.

All students must be accompanied by an adult.

Family Health Source
Family Health Source

The HMS Family Center will be hosting a Family Health Source presentation on Sept. 5th from    9:30 am – 12:30pm in the HMS Media Center. Family Health Source is a non-profit organization that receives federal funding to supplement the cost of providing medical, dental and pharmaceutical care to patients in our area. Family Health Source also offers Pediatric and Women’s Health services.

We are excited to offer a way to give back to Heritage Middle School!  Soon, we will kick off an event to help raise funds that will benefit all our students and staff. This program will help with funding for STEM Resources and Teacher and Student recognition. 

Here are a few things to note about our upcoming program:

·       This program will be extremely easy for you. It only requires about 10 minutes of your time.

·       Your students can earn great rewards just for their effort. No money is needed!

·       This is an online, donation-based fundraiser, and the email and text message donation requests can go to people you know anywhere in the world.

Students will bring home more information after our Launch Party presentation next week. Please help your student register and complete the Golden Ticket assignment that very night! All students who complete the Golden Ticket assignment will receive fun PRIZES.  We will also have an awesome Week of WOW drawings, including Gift Cards and prizes.  All families that enter at least 10 or more contacts will qualify for the Disney Family Vacation that will be awarded nationally!
